Working To Build The Kingdom Of God Through Missionary Work in Mexico, Colombia, and Panama.
Our Story
Dedication and Service - Our Founder receives the call of God to the mission field

It is incredible how one small idea that God planted in the heart of a young lady can grow into something truly special. Holiness Full Gospel Missions has won hearts and souls for Jesus Christ and has built churches across Mexico, Colombia, and Panama. Here is a summary of the story of Gail Myers who with the help of God changed the world for thousands of people.

Gail Myers was born April 23, 1919. Her birth name was Gailya Devota Myers. She was introduced to church in her early teens through some friends. She was athletic, taking part in field pentathlon meets in Detroit, Michigan, where she lived until age fifteen. She had a love for horseback riding and mountain climbing, which turned out to serve her well for the calling from God. After high school she was employed by the United States government serving with Western Union. Later she would take a position, which involved running top secret messages to the desk of the President of the United States during the war.

One night while in college Gail was suddenly struck with a raging fever. Within hours her hands and feet began to draw and become twisted. At the age of 23, she became helplessly crippled. Over the next few days her whole body became twisted from rheumatic fever. She developed a serious heart condition, developed rheumatoid arthritis that created severe pain, and was no longer able to walk or do for herself. This resulted in a move to Florida for warmer weather to better cope with the pain and where she would suffer for the next two years.
The move to Florida continued the work of God in Sis. Gail's life. Here she met three Pentecostal believers who helped change the trajectory of her life - Sis. Collins, who managed the rest house where she stayed, and Bro. John and Sis. Marie Swails from Hodgenville, Kentucky . Through the gospel songs Sis. Swails would play and sing at the house along with her dress and countenance, Sis. Gail came under conviction. One night in desperation, Gail crawled up the stairs on her hands and knees to the room of Bro. and Sis. Swails. Broken and in tears she told them how she needed God and she knew that they could help her find Him. That night the Swails pointed her to the cross and Gail got saved. That night Sis. Gail had a dream about a muddy river with many people floundering in its depths crying, calling, and vainly struggling to get out. She began to weep. Much later, God made her to understand the meaning of this dream. He was going to cause her to be a rescuer! He was going to give her a burden to help those who could not help themselves.
About the same time, revival was going on at the church that Bro. & Sis. Swails was attending and this was the time God began the work of sanctification in Gail. The following year the Swails returned where the revival would happen again. This time Gail received the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues. After this revival Gail would find herself wanting to visit Hodgenville as she felt that if she could get to the altar and have those Godly, praying people pray for her that she would surely be healed. So, one night at a church service in Hodgenville, Gail painfully pulled her crooked body up to the altar while clutching a pair of shoes, normal shoes. The kind of shoes someone would wear who did not suffer with rheumatoid arthritis. Surely, she would be healed and able to walk away in those shoes! Well, the Lord in His mercy and plan laid His hand on her and fully restored her body that very night! She had danced for the devil without shame and that night she danced for two hours before the Lord with exceeding joy. This was not a gradual healing. This was a miracle!

For the next eight years, Sis. Gail would sit under the teaching of Bro. Swails while attending Hodgenville until she heard the call from God to go and preach the gospel to Mexico. After establishing churches in Mexico, Sis. Gail would then be called to take her missionary work to Colombia, Panama and specifically the Kuna Indians where she would bring the gospel of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Sis. Gail Myers was in missions work for the people of Mexico, Colombia, and Panama for over 46 years and continued her work until the Lord called her to heaven to rest. She fulfilled the great commission that was taught us in Matthew 28, ". . . Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

We are grateful that God has blessed us to steward this great work that was started many years ago and to continue spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through the generations. What a wonderful legacy Sis. Gail Myers has left behind and the awesome responsibility this organization has to continue the work. A big thanks to the original board who, through the hand of God, helped spread the word of this great work and organized support for the expansive reach: Sis. Gail Myers, Bro. John David Long, Bro. C. M. Butler, Bro. Neil Bridges, Bro. Don Rich, and Bro. Junior Vandergriff.
